Teddy Bear Coat

The Abandoned Uptown Theatre - Neatorama

This is sad - it reminds me of the Drake Theatre.

Inviting The World To Dinner : NPR

All Things Considered, January 12, 2009 ·

Every week for the past 30 years, I've hosted a Sunday dinner in my home in Paris. People, including total strangers, call or e-mail to book a spot. I hold the salon in my atelier, which used to be a sculpture studio. The first 50 or 60 people who call may come, and twice that many when the weather is nice and we can overflow into the garden.

Every Sunday a different friend prepares a feast. Last week it was a philosophy student from Lisbon, and next week a dear friend from London will cook.

People from all corners of the world come to break bread together, to meet, to talk, connect and often become friends. All ages, nationalities, races, professions gather here, and since there is no organized seating, the opportunity for mingling couldn't be better. I love the randomness.

Christmas is now over

I have finally listened to the last Christmas song in my extensive collection & it only took me six days past the Epiphany!

The Grand Total is 2,617 Christmas Songs

The first song listened to was Somewhere in My Memory by Gumpoldskirchner Spatzen Children's Choir.

The last song listened to was Here Comes Santa Claus from the Polar Express Soundtrack by Bing Crosby & The Andrew Sisters.

Music Meme

What was the first album you bought?
  • I remember having the Michael Jackson Thriller album because I had the poster on my wall in my bedroom. Remember those poofy plastic stickers? Well one of my brothers put red poofy plastic lips on Michael - I was crushed...crushed I tell you.
  • As for the first cassette tape I got it was Rick Astley - I sold magazines in grade school and that was my prize!

What was the first concert you went to?
  • Rhythm Syndicate & C & C Music Factory

Who is your favourite artist/band?
  • Michael Buble

Have you ever bought an album just for one song on it?
  • Probably

What is your favourite genre of music?
  • Soundtracks as they are a mix of things or maybe Broadway. I have most of the shows I have ever seen or been involved with.

What is your least favourite genre of music?
  • Most likely heavy metal or rap

Hot Sauce - Git Yer Hot Sauce!

So I have a huge @$$ bottle of hot sauce that I opened as I made Buffalo Chicken Dip for New Year's Eve. Which by the way if you haven't made it - it is yummy and very crowd pleasing.

So now the question what ELSE does one do with hot sauce since one has a huge @$$ bottle?

This is what I've done thus far:

1.) Buffalo Chicken Dip
2.) On top of hard boiled eggs (my family enjoys this after jarping on Easter morning!)
3.) Mixed into Macaroni -n- Cheese (I used a tad too much as I couldn't feel my tongue after)
4.) ?

What now? I have no idea..but hopefully I will think of something soon...

Happy Thanksgiving

Hope your day is happy and fun filled.

If I'm not with you I miss you and love you! & let me tell you this year that encompasses a lot of people.

So thanks from me to you, to all the special people who have impacted my life. In small ways and large I love you and you have helped make me who I am today.
