Revenge of the Vacuum Cleaner

This is the funniest darn thing I've read in quite some time.

I was just bemoaning the fact that I needed someone else around to help me do something...but this post takes the cake. Eventually she had to call 911 to help her.

Oscar Winners: SPOILED!

Every best picture winner in Oscar history spoiled in one take in under 5 minutes by the Fine Brothers.

Talking Deer

A bit from the Man Show...too funny

Kingsford the Pig

He's cute and all but I still like bacon.

It reminds me of the conversation in Pulp Fiction about how dog's have personality...

Bacon is too tasty...yum-yum...but I still find the video cute.

Phil takes such nice pictures...

The Amazing Race's Cheese Challenge

I totally agree with Best Week Ever that The Amazing Race should have a cheese challenge every week.

It was totally hysterical -- I only hope that none of the teams were seriously injured the numerous times they fell and ate grass during the challenge.

The McNuggetini

Ummm...no I don't think so - I shan't be trying this culinary delight!

Friendship for Thought...

Think about this for a minute

If I happened to show up on your door step crying, would you care?

If I called you and asked you to pick me up because something happened, would you come?

If I had one day left, to live my life; would you be part of that last day?

If I needed a shoulder to cry on, would you give me yours?

Do you know what the relationship is between your two eyes?

They blink together, they move together, they cry together, they see things together and they sleep together, BUT THEY NEVER SEE EACH OTHER ... that is what friendship is.

Your aspiration is your motivation, your motivation is your belief, your belief is your peace, your peace is your target, your target is heaven, and life is like hell without it .

It's 'world best friend's week'.

Who is your best friend?

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with steak and chocolate!!!!

(Valentine) Tip from The Sneeze

A long time ago when my wife was my girlfriend and we were LIVING IN SIN, a tradition was born. I'd like to now share it with you all.

I came home from work one day and found her in front of the computer. I said "Hello," and she barely grunted back. I don't even think she looked up.

Half-jokingly I responded, "Okay, we're gonna try this again." I walked out the front door and came back in a few moments later...

"STEVIE'S HOME, STEVIE'S HOME!!! YAY!!!" was the new over-the-top cheer I was greeted with. It was accompanied by a hug and kisses. And I loved it.

What began as a joke quickly became an ongoing practice that continues to this day in our house: The person who is home first must make a small fuss when the other person gets there.

Does it sound silly? Yes. Do I promise that it will set the tone for a nicer evening just about every time you do it? Yes.

The world is full of douchebags, guys. Take 3 seconds out of your precious day to make a fuss over each other. Do it like you mean it. Do it as a goof. Just do it a lot.

I'm promise you'll be glad you did.

Forget flowers: Say it with stickies!

Somebody in Antigua, Guatemala found an eye-catching way to profess his love. Each of the sticky notes covering this wall is inscribed with the message "Te amo, Cristina."

This photo won honorable mention in the National Geographic International Photo Contest 2008, in the Places category.

Heart Shaped Paperclips

A piece-of-cake Valentine project: bend regular paper clips into little heart shapes. These are jumbo clips I got in a multi-color pack at Target for about $1.50, I think. I fished out the pink ones for this.
You could use them to leave love notes around. Or mark pages you like in magazines. Or hold tiny treat bags of candy shut. Or send a subtle message to the boss you have a crush on. Endless possibilities, really.

Monster Letters

How cool are these?

The artist Joey Ellis initially created them to help his son learn his letters. I just think they are adorable and they make me think about the old Sesame Street coloring pages where each letter was paired with a different character. The old pages seem to have disappeared, but here is what I did find.

If you visit Joey's blog or Flickr page you can see more of his art or even follow him on Twitter.

I also love his personal icon with the mouseketeer hat!

So cute!

Magnetic duct-tape

It couldn't be any easier or more versatile: Just stick a few centimetres of the 19mm (3⁄4") wide patented magnetic tape to the back of your photos, posters, calendars, etc. and a matching piece on the wall, the sloped ceiling, the fridge door, office cupboard, memo board, etc. The tape strips will stick to each other magnetically. And can be just as easily taken off again. Unlike conventional removable adhesive tape, you can use this tape again and again. Ideal, for example, if you need to reposition plans and maps several times.
